Editorial statement due to the situation in Belarus:
Belarus is a part of the historic Union – that is why we have to protect Belarus citizens’ rights and freedoms as if it would be Russia’s citizens.
We are in solidarity with Belarussians and support their desire to live in a free and independent state! We witness criminal misuse of force by Belarus MIA employees on numerous photos and videos. We condemn politically motivated persecutions and violations of human rights! We shall be helping our colleagues in Belarus to identify enforcers and intelligence officers who violate human and civil rights. We shall support any upcoming claims to the European Court of Human Rights against enforcers and are ready to provide the victims with the results of our investigations.
Bewareofthem project (Проект «База Данных») is watching after the situation in Belarus where Aleksandr Lukashenko administration initiated brutal suppression of civil liberties by security forces and special services after fraudulent elections. The actions of police and military officers of Belarus often violated the Republic citizens’ Constitutional rights and fundamental human rights.
It is worth noting that not all MIA employees and military personnel support the authorities’ political terror and lawlessness. Many MIA officers decided to quit law enforcement not to follow unlawful orders aimed against the people of Belarus. With this regard, we urge fellow citizens to avoid lynching and encourage us to carry out any proceedings exclusively in the legal field.
We hereby publish the first part of our materials with identified law enforcers noticed for committing illegal activities and suppressing peaceful demonstrations in Belarus. More detailed photo and video materials that trace systematic illegal activities are published in the project Telegram channel.
